Release notes

SearchPanes 3 is an update of SearchPanes to bring full support to DataTables! There are a lot of internal modifications, but the end result is basically the same - it is SearchPanes as you know and love it, just for DataTables 3.

Please note as well that SearchPanes is now a DataTables Plus extension.

New

  • SearchPanes is now part of DataTables Plus
  • Remove jQuery dependency
  • Support DataTables 3 (requires 3.1+)
  • CSS variables for controlling the focus cell styling

Updates

  • ES6 output target from TypeScript
  • SearchPanes can now be evaluated in a windowless environment without executing browser DOM code. This allows it to be imported in React Server Components and SSR frameworks such as Next.js.
  • -searchPanes.container() will now return a DataTable.Dom instance, rather than a jQuery instance.

Examples

  • Update to remove remaining jQuery initialisation version of each example, and focus on the Vanilla JS code for simplicity and consistency throughout the DataTables examples.
