Release notes

This release has improvements for the exported Typescript types, and also a new feature that will help improve performance when used with the React and Vue components for DataTables (those components will be updated to make use of the new abilities soon).

New

  • New: columns.widthCalc option which can be used to limit the column width calculations to use the data from the current page only. This is particularly useful for React / Vue integration, which can have child components that require to be rendered before display.

Updates

  • Update: Typescript - formally export the types for column data and render options.

Fixes

  • Fix: A column which was initially hidden wasn't then click orderable when made visible
  • Fix: Address error when sizing a table (columns().widths()) when used with DOMPurify.
  • Fix: Smooth scrolling with a trackpad wasn't smooth (scrollX)
  • Fix: Typescript definition for columns should allow null entries
